Dream with puppets

Daydream, the new creation of the Iron Theater, with text from Regina Guimaraes and staging of Igor Horsham, climbs on the stage of Teatro Carlos Alberto until the next day on November 30.

"Truly, I think we all started the first time I read the story, there are a bunch of time. This dimension of circles, this idea of ruin and of course, always been more or less present in our work ', revealed the director Igor Horsham, which took as a starting point reading the story The Circular Ruins, by Jorge Luis Borges. Daydream launches the viewer into a space - which can be theater, temple or shop - devoted exclusively to the task of dreaming.

In this show, the Iron Theater returns to roots: the research work and experimetacao of puppets.

"A concept of the puppet that is closer to the language of dance and the questioning of the body and its possibilities", claimed the director, explaining that Daydream operates as a puppet double, interlocutor and the subject of plastic, replacing the issue of his enigmatic relationship with the actor / manipulator.

Founded in 1999, the Iron Theater has focused in the fields of theater of puppets, the movement and the media.

The group seeks perform shows targeted to young people, organizing, in parallel, multidisciplinary workshops with the participation of the community, particularly young people integrated in projects of social reintegration.
