The former Minister of Culture, Isabel Pires de Lima, argued that the government should give more resources to the surprising culture and said the criticism that his successor, Pinto Ribeiro, it has in recent months.
Mrs PS reminded of that over the past five years, the Ministry of Culture took on additional responsibilities, such as the House of Music or the Berardo Museum, despite the budget "very tight".
The State budget for 2009 provides for expenditure of the Ministry of Culture 212.6 million, 2.3 percent less than the budget implementation in 2008 (217.7 million).
Referring to the Teatro Nacional D. Mary II, the former minister criticized the "dormancy": "What I think is serious or not realize that there is not. The new programming was not given."
